1. Vim
Vim is an ancient branch of the Holy schools, originally allied to the side of Good. They were founded after the Vim Archlord uncovered the powerful book of spells, the Librus. With knowledge of this tome, Vim quickly gathered many followers and established themselves as an influential Faction. Although they began as a Faction of Good, their followers are trained to achieve their goals by any means necessary and fight with a disregard for safety for all, which has put them in conflict with Factions like Jadeon. With their all-out style of fighting, followers of Vim are extremely effective in close-quarters combat. Their intimate knowledge of the Librus provides them high defense, but they lack the ability to use ranged attacks. To see what skills the Vim learn, see the Vim Skill Tree page.

Summary
Vim is the "tank" Faction in Jade Dynasty. They have very high Health and Defense, and have skills to help them hold the attention of the enemies around them, protecting their allies from harm. Their damage is not to be ignored, however, as they are excellent at taking down single targets in melee. Many consider this faction to be the excellent in PvP, but Vim is incapable of using many ranged attacks. The Vim have many useful skills that can cripple their opponents. The ability to stun is quite useful in the earlier game periods. Late game periods they have the abillity to mass paralyze large numbers of enemies and bleed/silence them, as well as using attack techniques to defend with, and a single killing shot technique that uses all their spirit. They also have the abillity to reflect damage back on their opponents.

- High Defense
- High Single Target Damage
- Skills that can force enemies to attack them
- Ability to mass paralyze and/or bleed multiple enemies
- Excellent in Mass combat and PvP
Weaknesses:
- Few ranged attacks
- Few Area-of-Effect attacks
- Running and movement speed slower than other factions
- Long recast time on their powerful abillities
2. Lupin
Lupin was founded by Lady Jingling, formerly a powerful Vim lord. She quickly mastered the arts of their sacred tome, the Librus and after learning all she could, the former Vim follower founded Lupin to rival her former masters. A Lupin follower is swift and silent like an assassin. Their critical heavy hits make them a wanted ally in a fight, however their weak defense makes them vulnerable when outnumbered and surrounded. To see what skills the Lupin learn, see the Lupin Skill Tree page.

See also Jadeon Region for the location.Jadeon is one of the main Factions fighting on the side of Good. This faction was formed more than two thousand years ago when ancient master Jadeon the Revered discovered the magic sword Regenesis at Moontop Hollow. In reverence of this great achievement, most followers of Jadeon will use swords as their weapons, channeling their magic through it. A Jadeon follower is a formidable opponent. They are highly skilled in ranged attacks that harness the elemental powers of electricity and frost, and they are very powerful against large groups of enemies. However, their spell casting time makes them vulnerable in close-quarter combat.

Summary
The mages of Incense Valley have used their flame magic to defend the mortal world for centuries – first from the Yasho of the Southern Border and their own dark secrets, then from the Athan invasion.
The Incense Valley Mage faction is a blend of support and massive damage, using powerful array skills to strengthen their party and incinerating their foes with flame spells. They can attack from a long distance, making them powerful strikers.
As fits a fire-themed faction, the Mages’ main attack skills – the first skill in each tier – can inflict Burn effects on their enemies. These effects deal ongoing damage to the target and any enemies near him; this damage isn’t reduced by Defense or Resistances. If you’ve got the speed to kite, Burns let you get extra mileage out of your running time.
With a few exceptions, the Burn chain of skills is the center chain in each Tier, and one of their Tome Skill pages deals mainly with Burns.
The left chain of skills in each Tier builds towards a party-based Array skill. These Arrays look gorgeous, and when you use some of them with at least one party member, it’ll broadcast a chat message with your coordinates, telling players to join you for when you cast your next Array.
These will generally either buff you and your party or summon powerful guardian spirits to fight for you. If you charge the Array as you cast it, its effects will last longer.
These skills take a while to be cast and are more powerful the more characters are in your party. Most of these Arrays reach their full potential at six characters in your party.
The disciples of Incense Valley are powerful warriors, and have long been one of the three most prominent Good factions.

Summary
The Forta use cestuses are their primary weapon: battle gloves wrapped around metal to make their punches lethally strong. They train themselves to master powerful skill combinations; they’re also masters of buffing their own power. The last-unlocked skill in the middle chain of each Tier is the trigger for their Overdrive System. Casting these skills has chance to set the Forta into a temporary Assault state. While in this state, they’ll be able to use the Overdrive skill linked to these trigger skills.
For example, the Wind Thunder Strike has a 20% chance to trigger an Assault state for 15 seconds. While in this state, the Forta can also use the skill Ultimate Duel, which is the Overdrive skill attached to Wind Thunder Strike. Normally, this skill can’t be used; while in the Assault state, it can be cast like any other skill, including a Spirit cost and cooldown.
The skills linked in this way tend to build off each other, so that the Overdrive skill takes advantage of an effect that the trigger skill causes. Don’t worry about saving skill points to level the Overdrive skill, as it has the same level as the trigger skill.
Don’t worry about your enemies kiting you, either. The Forta have several skills to get into melee with enemies, either by pulling or teleporting enemies.
The Forta also have fighting stances that are so powerful that they visibly change the character’s size. These operate somewhere between traditional buffs and postures: they have a duration, but only one of the stances can be active at one time.
Whatever they are, they give huge bonuses. A word of advice: If you’re fighting a Forta and it’s suddenly twice as tall as you are, run. At maxed-out skill levels and tomes, one of these stances more than doubles Attack Power and HP. This does come at the cost of increased skill casting time, but the Forta also have stances that lower Attack Power in exchange for shorter casting times.
The four Forta stances are the left skill chain in Tiers Two and Three.
